onePULSE Foundation is the nonprofit organization established in the aftermath of the June 12, 2016 tragedy at Pulse nightclub to create a sanctuary of hope and honor and preserve the legacy of the 49 people killed, 68 injured, and countless others who were affected.
The four pillars of our mission are to create and support a memorial that opens hearts, a museum that opens minds, educational programs that open eyes, and legacy scholarships that open doors.

The National Pulse Memorial will be located on the site of Pulse nightclub with a complementary museum and education center approximately one-third of a mile from Pulse. Additionally, a Survivor’s Walk will trace the three-block journey many victims and first responders took the night of the tragedy to get to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

In October 2019, we selected a team of world-class architects and design professionals led by Coldefy & Associés with RDAI and Orlando-based HHCP Architects after an eight-month multi-phase selection process that included public feedback. The selected concept envisions a reflecting pool encircling the Pulse building, which will be integrated into the memorial design. In memory of the 49 victims, a palette of 49 colors lines the basin and radiates towards a peaceful garden planted with 49 trees. The design also envisions a spiraling, open-air museum and education center with vertical gardens, public plazas, and a rooftop promenade. The team’s concept design serves as a starting point for discussion and a basis for the design but is not the final, finished memorial and museum. We look forward to additional opportunities for families, survivors, first responders, and the public to continue to weigh in as we further refine the design.
